14 Nutrition and Fitness Tips to Start Off the New Year Right! (Tips 8-14)
✅ Add daily supplements as needed for your goals (I take Vitamin D, Magnesium, Fish oil whey protein, collagen peptides and creatine. All the brands are listed on my “Recommended products” page on my website)
✅ Try to hit close to your bodyweight of protein per day (protein keeps your fuller longer)
If you are falling short of your protein goal, add in a protein shake after your workout and one at bedtime
✅ Try to drink at least eight- 8oz. glasses of water 🚰per day
✅ Try to do some form of weight bearing exercise 🏋️♀️on a regular basis.
✅ Warm up and stretch prior to working out.
✅ Do some cardio 🏃♀️activity a minimum of 3 times per week. I prefer HIIT workouts.
✅ Start out slow in the beginning to avoid injury 🤕and keeping trying to push yourself.
After the age of forty, adding muscle 💪🏻 and losing fat takes a bit longer than in your teens and 20’s 😢.
👉🏻The most important tip I could give you is to be CONSISTENT and don’t try to tackle everything at once. Pick a few things you can start to incorporate today and just start. After you successfully and consistently do those things for several weeks, add in a few more. Over time, all the small changes will add up to big RESULTS!
