Does the thought of counting macros seem overwhelming? Read below to take the madness out of macros!

Does the thought of counting macros seem overwhelming? Or have you done it before, and it was a disaster?

That doesn’t mean you should never try it, or give it another try if it didn’t go so well the first time.

I’ve had clients say to me, “Do I have to eat rice and chicken at every meal?” Absolutely, not! I would have given up along time ago if that were the case. Our bodies were made to eat a variety of foods. Now, that doesn’t mean you have to eat a variety of foods at EVERY SINGLE MEAL! I do eat the same breakfast and lunch most days, but dinner is always something different. For me, this just makes it easier to plan. As long as you can fit it in your macros, you can eat it. It’s up to you on the quality of the food ;-)

I also hear clients say, “I have to go all-in 100% or I can’t do it at all.” I’ve found that starting slowly to incorporate small changes is much more effective than diving in head first just to fail 2 weeks later because you can’t do everything perfectly!

What I recommend as a nutrition coach is to look at your eating habits and see where you could implement a change easily. For some, it may be eating the prescribed amount of protein throughout the day. For others, it maybe taking 2 of the 4 meals you eat in a day and making them fit into your new Macro Prescription. Even small changes add up to big changes over time. What change are you willing to make today to get you where you want to be tomorrow? Let me know in a comment below.
